In Indore, Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently unveiled a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College's Super Specialty Hospital and inaugurated a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College. The CT scan machine, donated by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of its CSR initiative, will enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. The Chief Minister cut the ribbon for the CT scan room and received a briefing on the machine's features.
The new building at the dental college, constructed by the Public Works Department, addresses space constraints highlighted by the Dental Council of India. Additionally, the state government is set to install an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation. These enhancements will benefit undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as outpatients and further improve healthcare services in the state.
During his visit, Chief Minister Yadav also toured the MR-10 ISBT in Indore, slated to be operational by December. He announced that Indore will soon be home to India's largest inter-state bus terminal, designed like an airport and expected to be a landmark for the city and the state. The terminal will significantly enhance the state's infrastructure.The construction of the 15-acre facility by IDA, costing Rs 101 crore, has been completed with the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering in mind. The new terminal is set to enhance the travel experience for passengers, capable of accommodating up to 80,000 passengers daily and 1,440 buses round the clock. The ISBT is equipped with 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various other amenities. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and assured the employees of Sanchi Dairy Plant in Indore that no layoffs will occur, reaffirming the commitment of the MP government to support the dairy sector and empower dairy cooperatives. As part of a separate program, the CM unveiled the statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi at the city forest, built as a tribute to the sacrifices made by Bishnoi and her community in environmental protection. During his visit to Indore, the CM received blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign,' which has conducted blood tests on around 50,000 individuals.
